A whirlwind tour of Sydney on a weekend presented some great opportunities for photography. I had to use the Sydney Harbour Bridge as a tripod as I was on my way back to the hotel after dinner & didn't have my tripod. The woes of life ;)
DEFINATELY A GREAT PICTURE! Nonetheless, your use of the bridge as a tripod proved to be a very good alternative. This is definitely a favorite for me.

Hey Ry, - Awesome shot!!! The lighting on the roof of the opera house is Brilliant!!! Overall the shotis so well composed witht he reflection off the water adding extra depth to the whole scene and the suburb lights in the background adding a lovely backdrop!! Way to go!

whoa... a 30-second shot without a tripod that comes out this clear is definitely an achievement!!!

@ManuelaR: Hi Manuela. I had noticed a car coming down the hill just before taking the shot. I was tempted to wait for it to drive off before taking the shot as I thought it may draw attention away from the Opera house. Fortunately I took a chance and it paid off. Thanks for stopping by & commenting.

wonderful photo...my first view of the sydney opera house was from a p&o liner coming into the harbor in 1967. it is one of the world's most beautful buildings. your photo shows its beauty and appeal.
